Monica, a Renton native, grew up just south of Seattle in a family that valued humor. After playing collegiate basketball at Seattle University, an injury led her to pivot to the next most logical career—stand-up comedy. Since then, she’s taken the comedy scene by storm, performing at top festivals, competitions, and on television.
Her debut comedy special, “Big Stepdad Energy,” filmed with Helium Comedy Studios in Philadelphia, was released in October 2022 and earned a spot on We Own The Laughs magazine’s Top 50 Specials of the Year list.
